JOIN OUR TEAM

If you read the interviews with our employees on their bio pages, you’ll see that “our team” and “our clients” are the most often cited reason that people love working at Sachetta.

CULTURE

With proper planning, most things can go right. That’s how we generally like to operate. Of course there are also times that things go wrong. In those moments we remain calm and problem-solve without finger pointing or irate emotional tension.

The way to experience our culture is to be in the office. A large portion of employees’ learning and development happens by working with team members and asking questions. As a one-office firm, you’ll find that it’s natural to interact with nearly everyone on a daily basis, whether by working together for a client’s needs, over lunch, or in the hallway. The founding partners’ ethos of loyalty, support, respect, and kindness flow and set the basis for all team interactions. Team members’ contributions are highly valued and we collaborate across services and seniority.

Our team members plan to work in the office most days. A work from home arrangement can be developed and is available to everyone on days when they have appointments, are feeling under the weather, or on school snow days.

Our strong brand attracts individuals or families who are a good match for our approach and methodology. Clients come to us because we take a holistic perspective of each individual’s or family’s finances. We would not be right for a client who wanted to separate tax planning and investment planning among different advisors. The firm’s strong financial footing allows us to part ways with clients who do not abide by our code of conduct or other policies.

HOW WE WORK

Sachetta is different from other wealth management firms because our founding leadership team are all CPAs. As we grow, it’s no longer a requirement that all financial advisors become CPAs, but a baseline of tax knowledge is required. This is because we differentiate ourselves in the market as a firm that provides the full suite of financial and tax services to clients within the same team and we take tax benefits into consideration when making investment selections. If you’re not strong in taxes today, in order to join your team, you must be willing to expand your tax knowledge; with our help of course!

Technology makes us better at our jobs, makes our jobs less repetitive, and provides data security to our clients. Our leadership team members are avidly interested in technology and keep up with the latest developments with an eye towards benefiting the team. Technology is thoughtfully selected and implemented with proper training so team members know what it’s for and how it integrates with the rest of their work.

Here, innovation isn't just a buzzword—it's embedded in our culture, led with enthusiasm by our Chief Operating Officer. We pride ourselves on being open to new ideas and ways of doing things. Good ideas can come from anyone. All of our team members are encouraged to share what they are learning about, or a challenge that could be solved with a different tool or process. Having a dedicated R&D budget allows us the freedom to experiment. We understand that not every initiative will pan out, but that’s ok! We’re committed to growing and improving for our clients and team members. Flexibility and a willingness to adapt are not just appreciated—they're essential.

AI is already changing the way people do business, and we encourage team members to become familiar with tools that can help them do their jobs. In line with our commitment to maintaining the highest standards of service and security, the adoption of any new AI technology requires prior approval. This policy ensures that all tools meet our stringent criteria for security, compliance, and effectiveness. By integrating AI into our practices with a thoughtful and responsible approach, we aim to not only stay at the forefront of industry innovation but also uphold the trust and reliability that our clients expect from us.

YOUR CAREER

We understand the importance of continuing professional education (CPE) for our certified professionals, which is why we ensure our CPAs and CFPs have the opportunity to attend relevant conferences each year—a practice we prefer over webinars and local events for its depth and networking opportunities. For all other team members, our approach to professional development is deliberately less structured, offering the flexibility to pursue learning in ways that best suit their interests and career goals. We also host lunch and learns led by firm leaders that cover a wide range of topics. Additionally, we support those pursuing certifications, and our CFP study group helps team members prepare for their exams.

Our team members have an entrepreneurial mindset. We favor an organic approach to career development over rigid structures, and our team members are encouraged to to determine their own paths. We prioritize ongoing dialogues and frequent check-ins with team members to support their progress and help them reach their goals. That means when it comes to annual reviews, there are rarely surprises.

You may have noticed something missing from our Team page, specifically hierarchical job titles. Here, you're recognized for your skill and contribution. Career advancement is fostered through hands-on experience and mentorship. Early career professionals will start by shadowing more experienced team members, and will transition to managing clients independently when ready. We believe in learning by doing and highly value on-the-job training. When opportunities for growth arise, our team members are prepared to take the next step.

We have promoted committed professionals to the C-suite and director level and look forward to doing so again. Promotions are based on ability and allegiance, not years of experience. For example, our CFO started in a staff accountant position, and our COO started as an intern. Along with certain levels of leadership comes the opportunity to become an owner in the firm. Discussions about an employee’s interest in this path can be started any time.

Every person has a financial life, and it’s important to plan for life’s road ahead. As employees of Sachetta, we can help you as much or as little as you’d like with your goal setting, financial decisions, and approach to managing risk.
