Four Tech Trends Shaping Today's Investment Strategies
Some companies and technologies seem evergreen. It’s hard to imagine a company unseating Apple as the leader in mobile...
Our clients are looking for guidance that fits their lifestyle and comfort level. They turn to us to help them minimize risk and reach their long term goals for retirement and generational wealth transfer. Our clients come to us because we take a holistic perspective of each individual’s or family’s finances. We would not be right for a client who wanted to separate tax planning and investment planning among different advisors. Typically, our clients are individuals and small business owners with between $1 million and $10 million of investable assets.
A wealth management relationship with Sachatta includes a wide range of guidance including:
No matter what your financial goals might be, we’re here to help you reach them. We start the financial planning process by getting to know you and your unique situation. Beyond your current financial picture, we’ll consider your family, your interests, your past and your plans for the future.
From there, we’ll work with you to develop a customized financial plan. We’re not in the business of telling you what to do with your money. Instead, we’ll follow your lead and make suggestions based on our experience and your personal goals. This plan serves as the centerpiece of our relationship, and we measure our success on your success in reaching your financial goals.
As part of our comprehensive financial planning services, we can consult and advise on a number of areas. Our holistic approach means that we give our clients a full overview of their financial picture, and will make you aware of any tax implications associated with your financial activity. In addition to working with you to maximize the rate of return on your investment, we can also look at your estate planning, insurance planning and tax situation to determine the best and most efficient path forward.
Each relationship includes financial planning, investment management, individual tax preparation, and unlimited consultations throughout the year at no additional cost. We want you to work with us on an ongoing basis without worrying about getting an invoice for every call or meeting.
Ultimately, it’s our mission to help you meet your financial goals as your single point of contact for financial planning.
Our advisors use a down-to-earth approach to investment advising. It’s part of our commitment to treating each client with respect and acceptance. We’re happy to answer questions and provide transparency on the thinking behind our suggestions. Also, because we have several CPAs on staff, many of whom are also financial advisors, we’re constantly thinking about taxation issues when making our best recommendations. Truly, we prepare you for life’s road ahead.
As your financial advisor, we take our independence seriously. We design our portfolios based on what makes sense for you, without any corporate agenda. We use no-load mutual funds and exchange traded funds to keep costs as low as possible while maintaining the flexibility to make changes to that portfolio without unnecessary cost.
Most importantly, though, is to integrate your investment strategy with your overall financial plan. The team members who work with you will want to know about your goals and hopes for your financial future, your family, your spending habits and even your hobbies. That’s because we know that so many factors – including your estate planning, tax strategies and your insurance situation – can impact how we design your portfolio. Our goal is to work with you to develop not only a great investment portfolio, but an overall plan toward financial happiness.
No financial picture is complete without tax planning, so all our wealth management engagements include tax planning and filing. When it comes to taxes, the real value is in the planning. If you wait until January to think about your taxes, it’s too late. With year-round guidance from our advisors, you’ll know what options you have while there’s still time to make a difference on next year’s tax return. That’s why when you work with us, your service includes tax planning and tax preparation and filing each Spring.
Our tax-centric approach is something that sets our firm apart from most other advisory firms. Sachetta started as a CPA firm advising and preparing tax returns for individuals and small businesses. Part of our staff is dedicated solely to accounting and tax preparation, and several of those team members have decades of experience. We’ve seen it all before, which means we’re prepared to help you navigate any hurdles that arise during the process.
We take a holistic view of financial planning, and that means we look at your whole financial picture – both what can go right and what can go wrong. Nothing can derail a well-thought-out financial plan like an unexpected death or disability. Protecting what you have, providing for your loved ones and providing peace of mind in the event that long term care is ever necessary are all important parts of your financial journey.
We’ll work with your estate planning attorney or insurance advisor to help all of these elements of your long term plan. If you would like a referral, we are happy to connect you with additional professionals.
Your advisor will work with you to review your current coverage, analyze its comprehensiveness and make recommendations about policy changes we believe will better serve your needs. As your home, business and financial lives progress, your insurance needs change. The coverage that was appropriate a few years ago may be insufficient or inappropriate for your current situation.
This process requires both financial and legal planning. An experienced attorney working on your behalf may draft a power of attorney, establish a will or trust and draft medical directives as part of estate planning. When you work with financial advisors and attorneys separately, miscommunications may arise that make estate planning more frustrating and drawn out than it needs to be. As part of our holistic approach, we work with several attorneys who specialize in estate planning. We also recognize that some clients prefer to work with their own trusted lawyers, and we’re happy to work with them.
It’s never too early to start talking to children about financial responsibility. That’s why we created Launch, a service for clients' children that gets them started thinking about their financial future. We can help young people learn about investing, help decide whether renting or leasing a car is the right choice, and how to plan for large financial decisions down the road such as paying for college or buying a home.
