"I think a lot of people see accounting as very black and white. I see it more as a relationship business. If you’ve got a good, outgoing personality you can be very successful in this business. It’s more about people and relationships than work and money. The money will come if you have good relationships."

"What’s your favorite thing about working at the firm?"

In 37 years there have never been two years that are the same or even two days the same. There’s always something new. You never know what’s going to happen. I like being in charge of my own destiny. I like to say that we have a little fun along the way. We have a relaxed, family-like atmosphere.

"Share a piece of professional advice most people could benefit from?"

I think a lot of people see accounting as very black and white. I see it more as a relationship business. If you’ve got a good, outgoing personality you can be very successful in this business. "If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would you choose?"

I would choose my mother. She passed away in 2012 and I miss her dearly. I would have dinner with her and my father together because he misses her dearly as well. I would love to have her see what we have built here.
